The Last of Us Season 3 Casting Announcements

The Last of Us has officially cast two pivotal characters for its upcoming third season.

Yara and Lev Join the Cast

According to Deadline, Michelle Mao will portray Yara, and Kyriana Kratter will portray Lev. Both characters are Seraphites—members of the religious cult based in Seattle, first glimpsed by Ellie and Dina in Season 2.

Lev is Yara’s younger brother and is transgender in the original game. The series will retain this characterization; however, Kratter is not trans.

Cast Backgrounds

• Fifteen-year-old Kyriana Kratter is best known for her role as KB in the 2024 Star Wars series Skeleton Crew.
• Michelle Mao portrayed Rosamund, the antagonist in the most recent season of Bridgerton.

Narrative Significance

Yara and Lev play crucial roles in Abby’s storyline after their paths intersect with hers in Seattle. Notably, Lev serves as a moral compass for Abby during this arc.

In a major narrative shift, Season 3 centers on Abby. If the adaptation follows the game’s structure, viewers will experience key events from Season 2—including the conflict between the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) and the Seraphites—through Abby’s perspective.
