Cast Updates and Production News for The Last of Us Season 3
Danny Ramirez, Marvel actor and original cast member, has exited The Last of Us Season 3 due to a scheduling conflict.
Replacement Cast Member Announced
Jorge Lendeborg Jr.—known for his roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Bumblebee—has been officially cast as Manny, per Deadline.
New Addition to the Ensemble
Clea DuVall has joined the Season 3 cast; however, her character remains unannounced. DuVall is widely recognized for her performances in The Handmaid’s Tale and Veep.
Key Creative Departure
Ramirez is not the only major departure: Neil Druckmann stepped away from the series after Season 2 to prioritize Naughty Dog’s gaming pipeline—including the upcoming title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Druckmann served as co-showrunner, director, writer, and producer on the television adaptation.
Release Timeline and Narrative Focus
The Last of Us Season 3 is slated for a 2027 premiere and will center its narrative on Abby. While speculation persists, it remains unconfirmed whether this season will serve as the series’ conclusion.
Naughty Dog’s Game Development Pipeline
Naughty Dog is currently developing Intergalactic and may also be working on a second project—potentially The Last of Us Part III. No official announcement regarding the latter has been made.
