Assassin's Creed Odyssey: How the team pulled off making the game relevant?
With the launch of the last chapter of the Atlantis saga a month ago, the ballad of Odyssey ended and the constant mix of free and paid DLC kept the game updated for a year.
In its latest issue, Game Informer had the opportunity to talk with Creative Director Jonathan Dumont about how they managed to keep the engine running, and surprisingly they benefited from the tremendous help provided by the other Ubisoft games.
In addition to small free DLCs, Ubisoft has also updated major updates, such as the new Game Plus option, a game transfiguration system and a campaign creator. Dumont points out that they have been inspired by For Honor, Rainbow Six and The Division to create a "three week" pace in addition to the normal maintenance of a game of this magnitude in an open world.
He says that much of the directional game of community comments and "deliberate planning" is a kind of Ubisoft merchandise that they used for some of the games mentioned above. Dumont says that concepts such as "Arrow Auto-Crafting" come directly from fan requests and that "this was not on the road map." One of the only objectives that the team has not achieved is a live octopus barrier against the sail sections of the game, considered "too complex" by the mechanics of the ship.
In other words, the game is coming to an end and the content roadmap ends this fall with some other missions and the discovery of the Origins educational entertainment mode. At this point, Ubisoft's work is complete. Although they receive a fair amount of legitimate criticism, they have understood Assassin's Creed Odyssey Uplay CD Key well and made it one of the most popular solo adventures to date.
