Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince - A Masterpiece in Puzzle-Platforming
At the end of 2019, it's probably time to think about our favorite games of the year. For me, there are powerful competitors, including Apex Legends, My Friend Pedro, Ape Out, Sekiro, Neo Cab and Heave Ho, to name a few. Well, I add Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince Steam Key to my list.
I had never played Trine before Trine 4, so I didn't know what to expect and wanted to watch the show from the beginning. Being blinded meant that he had no legacy to succeed in the last game. In the end, I felt Trine 4 as a feeling of well-being through a beautiful imaginary country.
The Prince of Nightmares As its title indicates, Trigon 4 follows the story of the tormented prince Selius. Tormented by nightmares from another world, the prince's bad dreams come true and affect the real world. Then the heroes Amadeus, Pontius and Zoya join forces to rid the world of these nightmares and help the prince.
Trine 4 offers more than a dozen levels that take between 30 and 40 minutes to play. The length of the plains will spoil you with larger and more varied landscapes. These levels contain several puzzles, many of which are easily based on physics.
The best puzzles require the skills of several heroes. These puzzles can be complicated, but with some exceptions, you will probably never find yourself facing a wall to find a solution to a puzzle. The aerial nature of the puzzles ensures that you will almost always find a challenge that you cannot control. As such, the overall experience is almost always pleasant.
Heroes' abilities are used in all levels of Trine 4. Then, if you play alone, change the trio in no time. Everyone can play a different role in the four player cooperative. I mainly played alone and had a good time. Playing on a full night can sometimes seem a little bloated; Think of the New Super Mario Bros. games - But it's still fun. Ideally, you want to limit the group to two or three players.
Although I like most Trine 4 offers, I felt that meetings with the boss left much to be desired. These battles were a bit too simple, or boring in the case of Amadeus, and disappeared from the rest of the game.
I didn't want to stop playing Trine 4. I didn't want the game to end. I wanted more, although what was there was really enough. Even if you have never played a Trine game like me before, it is likely that the latest Frozenbyte project will find much to love. Trigon 4: The Nightmare Prince is a pleasure to play absolutely and a true example of exceptional game design.
